Shihan Ken has spent over 3 decades in Martial Arts learning from several teachers and various different Styles around the Country. He has stepped down to allow his Daughter Stephanie Wylson, to now take the club onwards and upwards bringing a modern feel to the club. Shihan Ken will be there to assist Sensei Steph in the running of the class. But concentrating on the Senior Grades training sessions and TaiChi only.

The Most relevant are Ashihara Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Aikido, Jujitsu, Krav Maga, Chin Na, TaiChi (Chen Man Ch'ing Style) Wu Shu Quan, Wado Ryu and ShotoKan.

Shihan Ken practices with several weapons but his weapon of choice is Kama

SHIHAN STEWART LARCOMBE
Senior Instructor
Sensei Stewart is 4th Dan Ashihara Karate Jutsu, 1st Dan Kickboxing. He started over 2 decades ago and worked his way up through the ranks.
Sensei Stew is my second in command and Stewart is very experienced and a well respected Instructor within the Dojo. He assists with overseeing the running of the club and tutoring the lower grades.
He is also quite close to grading for his 5th Dan in Ashihara Karate Jutsu.
His favourite weapon of choice is the Bo Staff
SENSEI STEPHANIE WYLSON
Chief Instructor
Sensei Steph is 1st Dan Ashihara Karate Jutsu,. She started almost over decade ago and worked her way up through the ranks.
She left for University now has returned to take the horns from Gabriel who has moved on to a different direction
Steph is very experienced and a well respected Instructor within the Dojo. She is also Qualified Personal Trainer
She has now taken over the running of the club as Chief Instructor from Shihan Ken and Sensei Gabriel. She is taking the Club forward into the Future, bringing her own ideas and concepts to the running of the School.
SENSEI FRANK WILSON
Assistant Instructor New Dawn
Sensei Frank is a 1st Dan Black Belt
He's been with us for over 8 years and gaining his 1st Dan in 2024.
Sensei Frank takes an active role in our New Dawn Dojo head instructor for adults and ready to assist when required. He trains with his son Jenson who is also collectively assisting too,

SENSEI DEANNA
Junior Instructor
Sensei Deanna is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Ashihara Karate Jutsu. She is one of the longest serving Students and assists with the teaching of the students.
She took some time from the club for studies but returned a few years ago to continue her training.

SIFU NICK O'NEIL
Hands-On Learning
Sifu Nick is our Senior TaiChiChuan Instructor he holds a Level 2 and is completely passionate about TaiChi. Sifu Nick remembers his training back in the late 80's and 90's with his Sifu Dr Wei Zhang, until he returned to China. Sifu Nick continued to train and practice by himself.
